“Banish the Bar”

“BANISH the bar” is the slogan of our Canadian temperance friends. They will have to do strong work to accomplish it, for liquor drinking is prevalent in Canada. Its results are the same in Canada as here. It worse than widows wives, and worse than orphans children, in Canada as here. Its prohibition would be a blessing there as here. “Banish the bar” in Canada; “close the saloons,” “down with the liquor traffic,” in the United States. They both spell the same thing. May the bar be banished!
