Truth Unveiled

It sometimes happens that when a truth long downtrodden is uncovered, and its light and beauty flash out through the dense darkness of the ages, men say: “This is too much. This cannot be. To-day and custom wall up our horizon.” And saying thus, they reject the word of God.
Other men, more humble and teachable, say:
“We have wandered in the mountains misbewildered, And now a breeze comes, and the veil is lifted, And priceless flowers o’er which we trod unheeding, Gleam ready for our grasp.”
And these men search the Scriptures eagerly, and to the joy of their souls, find that which enables them to look, as it were, into the promised land.
