God Is Good

By Mrs M. C. Sellers
God is good. His mercies great, Coming soon or coming late, Give us faith to trust Him more When the darkening storm-clouds lower. Swing the pearly gates ajar! Let us view the land afar! Wide, swing wide the pearly gates! An abundant entrance waits.
Weary pilgrim, sore oppressed, Thou shalt soon find home, sweet rest. Tho thou pass Gethsemane, With thee He will surely be. Grievous chastening ’neath the rod Leadeth home to heaven and God.
Whatsoe’er the trial be, He who stilled the Galilee, Still is able, if His will, All the stormy waves to still. Courage now! The land is near! Weary one, be of good cheer! These poor bodies soon will be Changed to immortality.
Ballard, Washington.
