A Joyous Day

By Nellie M. Butler
O, hasten on O joyous day When we shall see Him face to face; The One who died that we might live, And saved us by His wondrous grace; Who prayed for strength, when all alone That dark night in Gethsemane, To bear the load of guilt and sin That we might be forever free. When we can fall before His throne And worship Him—all Heaven's King— And praise Him for His love to men, Or of His blessed grace to sing. O, that will be a joyous day— A day that is not far away.
