World's Purity Federation
World's Purity Federation.—The seventh International Purity Congress of the World's Purity Federation is to be held in Minneapolis, Minnesota, November 7-12. This federation has been in existence for something like fifteen years. Governors of states in this country have already appointed leading men and women to attend this convention as delegates. Well-known individuals from various parts of the world are expected to be present. The congress certainly has before it a very important work, and every person who is interested in the moral uplift of society should give a helping hand to enterprises of this sort. The plan of the organization provides for delegates to be appointed by chief executives of the nations, states, and provinces, mayors of cities, etc., while local church commissions, brotherhoods, educational institutions, or other societies interested in moral reform may appoint one delegate each. Any one interested in this matter should address the president, B. S. Steadwell, La Crosse, Wisconsin. The white slave trade has become an international peril. It is one of the signs of the time in which we are living; and we should do all in our power to combat this slavery, which is so degrading as to be beyond comparison with every other form of slavery that has ever existed.
