Work

"THERE are many who desire to engage in some Work—spelled always with a capital—who have a profound distaste for doing even their fair share of the ordinary work that falls to the ordinary mortal every day. They are looking for some task so important and extraordinary that it will render their excuse from common duties entirely proper. If they had lived in Nehemiah's time they would never have been content with each repairing the breach 'over against his own house,' but would have spent their time in racing around the wall looking for some particularly large opening in which to display their very remarkable talent for building."
