THE BAPTISM OF JESUS

Is His Example Worthy of Consideration and Imitation?

This is the subject of a new tract by William P. Pearce. The tract is very forcefully written. The following sub-heads indicate the uniqueness of its make-up:
A Voluntary Act—“Then cometh Jesus . . . to be baptized.”
An Inconvenient Act—“Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.”
A Divine Act—“It becometh us to fulfil all righteousness.”
A Thoro Act—It was not simply “by” but “in” the waters of Jordan.
An Appreciated Act—By God the Father, and God the Holy Ghost.
A Symbolic Act—Act symbolic of His death, burial, and resurrection.
An Act to Imitate—“I have given you an example.”
The tract is issued as “Apples of Gold,” No. 95. It contains 8 pages. Price, fifty cents a hundred; single tract, two cents. Pacific Press Publishing Association, Mountain View, California.
