Obedience the Test

OBEDIENCE is one of the prime factors in the Christian religion. Practical obedience is the chief evidence of real piety. Man’s character is to be determined by his conduct. There can be no plainer principle than this: “The tree is known by its fruits.” If a man says he desires and delights above all else to serve God, let him test the reality of his desire by the touchstone of cheerful and obedient service.—Detroit News Tribune.
