A Faithful Guide

I'm traveling a lonely road, One step before I can not see; The distance I must journey on Is not made known to me.
But let the end be far or near, Or let the storm come on apace, It matters not, I have a Friend Who leads me to a sheltered place.
On His strong arm I lean for aid When sorrow deep my soul has tried; His presence brightens all the way; He is a strong yet tender Guide.
Then, Saviour, take my trembling hand, And guide my faltering steps each day, Till on fair Canaan’s shores I stand To reign in peace and joy alway.
Mrs. L. L. Lansing.
