Abraham Forewarned of Sodom’s Destruction

Abraham was so near to God that he knew of the impending destruction of Sodom before even Lot who was in the wicked city. In view of God's goodness in preparing the mind of Abraham for the terrible event about to take place, some one has said, “God transcends man's reason, mocks at his speculation, but will not violate his conscience.”
