“As Gold”

By Flora E. Warren

By Flora E. Warren
“He knoweth the way that I take,” alway; Sweet message from God to each child to-day: And “when He hath tried me”—as gold, by fire— No spot will remain—not a wrong desire! Dross can not abide where God’s fires may burn; Each heart is made pure that to Him will turn. Refiner of souls—they whom He shall try “Shall come forth as gold,” when He comes, by and by. O, joyful the souls whom His fires make clean! Nevermore will vile sin in their hearts be seen!
