The Baptismal Formula

Some one sends us a tract which declares that Acts 2:38 is of God and Matt. 28:19 is of the devil, and if the baptismal formula of the two texts is the same, “God and the devil are the same.” All of which is based on simple ignorance of the meaning of baptism and the meaning of the so-called formulas given. For the expunging of Matt. 28:19 there is absolutely no authority. Any other text may be as readily set aside at the demand of a defective creed.
