A Parliamentary Blue Book Issued March

A Parliamentary Blue Book issued March 31 shows that convictions for drunkenness in Canada have, in the last ten years, increased by 164 per cent. In the year ended September, 1907, there was an increase of twelve and a half per cent in convictions for general offenses under the Criminal Code. In the Yukon there were fifty-six convictions for every 10,000 of the population, and in Prince Edward Island, which is the prohibition province, only one conviction.
