Bible Society Ships Scriptures Abroad

“During the eight months from April to November inclusive, 1908, 1,826 cases packed with Scriptures, weighing altogether 178 tons, were sent out from the London headquarters of the Bible Society for shipment abroad. The books included versions in about 130 different languages. These shipments, however, represent only a fraction of the Society’s output, as two thirds of its editions are printed in the foreign countries where they are circulated.”
