Writing from Nyasaland, East Africa, Brother J. C. Rogers says: “At our last baptismal service seventeen were baptized. Six months before, a chief of one of the villages was baptized. Others who were too old or too young to walk seventy-five miles for baptism are still waiting (about a dozen or more). Among those last baptized was the son of a chief of several villages among which is one of our out-schools. We have baptized forty-eight since coming here. Forty to fifty more are receiving instruction in preparation for baptism. We seldom baptize until they have been taught one year or more.”
