Raisin Day.

The Chamber of Commerce of Fresno, the center of the raisin district, is making April 30 a raisin day, in which officials throughout the United States, from the President of the United States down, just as far as possible, will receive small cartons of raisins, enclosing recipes showing the best way to use them. Surely this will be a blessing. Raisins are indeed an excellent fruit and some contend a perfect food in themselves if eaten with the seeds. This will be good work for a splendid California product. The raisins are infinitely better than the wine.
