A Minister Leaves His Pulpit for Business

A minister in Chicago has given up his pulpit for the automobile business. He declares it is impossible to struggle along on a $2,500 salary. He will receive ten thousand dollars a year to manage a New England branch of an automobile concern. We wonder which one of the apostles would have thought of leaving his God-given work for any other kind of business. It can safely be said that neither any one nor all of the twelve together, with their adorable Head, received so much as that. A bright local paper of Mountain View remarks that there are some kinds of business that will pay even better than that; as, for instance, the saloon business.
