Supreme Court Upholds Three Anti-Trust Decisions

The Federal Supreme Court on February 23 handed down three anti-trust decisions: (1) The court sustained the decision fining the New York Central Railway $108,000 for granting rebates to the American Sugar Company. A similar decision was rendered in an Ohio case, in which the fine was $26,000. (2) It sustained the state of Arkansas in its fine of $10,000 against the Hammond Packing Company for failure to observe the law. (3) The state of Louisiana was sustained in fixing the long-distance rates of the Cumberland Telephone Company.
