U.S. Steel Earnings Fall in 1908

The net earnings of the fourth quarter of 1908 of the United States Steel Corporation netted $26,225,485, being over six million less than in 1907, and fifteen million less than in 1906. The falling off was occasioned by the company doing only about 58 per cent of its normal business. The total net earnings in 1908 were nearly $92,000,000.
