AN APPRECIATIVE READER.

Dear Mr. Editor:—

I see, from your notice, that my subscription has nearly expired. I did not subscribe myself, but a friend must have done so for me. However, I am delighted with it—so much so that I want my subscription to be advanced for another three months.

It was not convenient, just now, to send a post-office order, so I enclose stamps to the amount of forty cents, for three months subscription. If stamps are not satisfactory, please notify me and I will always send it some other way. I will send my papers out where I think they will do good.
