FEAR NOT.

BY ELLA CORNISH.
Fear not, little flock; ’tis the Father’s good pleasure To give you the kingdom Christ’s gone to prepare. He’ll save you and keep you His own chiefest treasure, If only you’re constant in faith, love, and prayer.
Fear not, tho the devil, with cunning deception, Is seeking to bind you in fetters of sin, The light of God’s Word and the Spirit’s detection Will cause you, in Jesus, the victory to win.
Fear not, tho the powers of heaven are shaken, And earth be removed far, far from its place; Jehovah is left, tho all else be taken; Sufficient for you is His excellent grace.
Fear not, tho the signs all around be alarming, And men’s hearts are everywhere failing for fear, The nations, in anger, are gathering and arming; These things but proclaim that His coming is near.
Fear not, but rejoice, with your heads upward lifted; For soon, very soon, the dear Saviour will come, Then the sin-clouds of earth will forever be rifted, And we’ll dwell in safety with Jesus at home.
