FIND their nests and pour down the holes a few spoonfuls of bisulphide of carbon. This is a liquid that gives off a poisonous gas, heavier than air, which will sink through the holes and destroy the ants. After pouring in the liquid the holes should be covered over. If you are not able to find the holes, scatter tartar emetic about the infected places. —Sel.
