SPRINGTIME

BY MELISSA CAMPBELL SALLARS.
NATURE'S resurrection morning, Gladsome springtime, now is here, To our hearts she seems most welcome Of all seasons of the year.
Then we wander forth to meet her, And behold her glad array, Bursting bud, and peeping blossom, Nature's resurrection day.
Sleeping, sleeping, all were sleeping Through the months of cold and snow. Now they're waking, all are waking, Mysteries we can not know.
And she speaks to us, so truly, Of another morning fair, When the sleeping ones shall waken, Rise, and meet Him in the air.
This is why I love the springtime; For in every plant I see Tokens that my loved ones, sleeping, Will return again to me.
