A HOME OF GRACE.

“THIS world is gracious yet,” I calmly said; I saw a home that made me so aver, A home thrice welcome for a wanderer, Where oft such weary one as I was fed, Where blossomed pansies white and roses red, Where songbirds in the smiling meadows stir, Reviving thoughts of youthful days that were Awakening the life I thought was dead.
The low, sweet breezes played upon my face, The perfumes from the blossoms came to me— Delightful rural scene, fair home of grace, For weary souls a harbor safe to be; May storm-clouds never come to bring regret To this dear haven, bright and cheerful yet.
