I WANDERED ON.

I WANDERED on my lonely way, And 'twas in Autumn cold and bare; The winds were mad and sky was gray, No birds were hopping here and there.
I looked to Him and oft did pray— I longed for sunshine sweet and fair; I wandered on my lonely way, And 'twas in Autumn cold and bare.
Tho much the rain did downward pour, Of frightful storms I thought no more; I thought of but another day When He would free me from all care— I wandered on my lonely way, And 'twas in Autumn cold and bare.
