Victim of Hypnotist.

Mrs. Mamie Byrnes, a wealthy lady of Des Moines, Iowa, died recently at a hospital in St. Louis. A lady friend of hers says that the deceased was for months under the constant influence of a hypnotist who said he was a healer, and that she followed him to St. Louis. At her death she showed the greatest fear of him. It would be a good thing if people would be afraid of hypnotic influence in the beginning, and have such fear of it as to have nothing to do with those who exercise it. It is of the devil, and whoever yields the mind to its influence simply gives place to the devil, and will hardly ever again be able to shake him off. The first effects are sometimes flattering to the unwary, as Satan is a great deceiver, but they are none the less fatal.
