Volcanic Activity in the Caribbean

The great volcano of Mount Pelée on the Island of Martinique is reported to be in active operation, tho no damage on the island has been reported. La Soufrière, on the Island of St. Vincent, is also displaying signs of activity, and the cable service between the various islands has been interrupted to a considerable extent, showing that the disturbance is not local.
