Hard Years.—The Christian Word and Evangelist has this to say:—

The past few years have been hard years for the religious press—especially for the denominational journals—and we must admit that the interest in religious journalism, not to say in religious matters, has by no means kept pace with the wonderfully increasing material progress of the country. Perhaps this will come later. We hope so, and rather expect it.
