General Chaffee Seeks Peace With Moros

GENERAL CHAFFEE is still seeking to avert a conflict with the Moros of the island of Mindanao, hoping to bring about their acceptance of American rule by peaceable means. Attacks by the Moros on American outposts continue, and also in the island of Luzon the native constabulary continue to be attacked by ladrones.
