Native Unrest in South Africa

The natives of South Africa are causing much anxiety to both the English and Boers. The Boers are now unarmed, but the natives have retreated to their homes with their rifles and are threatening trouble. Continued attacks are reported on Boer farmers and assaults on Boer women by the natives. Formerly natives committing assaults on Boer women were promptly shot, but the disarming of the Boers has made the natives fearless, and they are taking their revenge in many places.
