The Revelation for the Last Days

The Book of “the Revelation,” in the very nature of the case, could not be understood till the last days. There are in it not less than six distinct lines of prophecy, meeting their plenary fulfilment, as regards mundane affairs, right at the consummation of this age. The development and later phases of the beast power is predicted; the fearful apostasy within the church is set forth; the working out of the pernicious union of Church and State is foretold; the wilderness state of the church and the holiness of the waiting remnant are portrayed; and all these must be seen and met before the Revelation could be appreciated and accepted. And of such a one who thus receives it, it is said, “Blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.” Rev. 22:7.
