THE HEART'S BEST WISH.

By Daniel W. Sumner

O GIVE me the flowers that never fade, And the fruits that never decay, And let me bask in the bright sunlight Of that never-ending day!
O give me to drink of that living stream Whose waters so peacefully flow! O let me eat of the tree of life, And never a sorrow know!
O let me walk and let me talk Where the theme of that talk is love! And all that love shall be centered in The King of that world above.
But the bliss of that life we shall live above Will be found in the words that He speaks in love; As the years of eternity onward roll, They will gladden the heart of the ransomed soul.
