Family Hypnotized for Four Days

At Tonica, Illinois, on April 26, neighbors discovered that a whole family, consisting of mother and father and five children, had been thrown into a hypnotic sleep. They had been sleeping four days when found, and the young man who confessed to have done the hypnotizing had been unable to restore them to consciousness. On the day of the discovery the hypnotist succeeded in awaking two of the sleepers.
