Ship Subsidy Bill Faces Opposition

Reports from Washington indicate that a very strong opposition exists in the House of Representatives to the passage of the ship subsidy bill. It is freely predicted that it will not pass unless it is so amended as to exclude Chinese sailors from the subsidized vessels.
