POWER FOR WITNESSING

The central thought of this book is that the Holy Spirit is bestowed for service and for service only; that the Spirit’s power is not turned on to rattle machinery, but to accomplish something. To illustrate this, the author, A. F. Ballenger of London, England, makes frequent use of incidents which have come under his observation, and these add power and definiteness to his book.
As one man said to us, “He tells more about what the Holy Spirit does than what it is.”
Notice the following extract from a pastor of a large eastern church:—
“Your book is a message of God to us just at this time. This is so manifestly true that groups of our members gather four nights in the week to read it in concert. My wife reads to a group of women who gather in the homes, and I read to the men who meet me at the church.”
