Catholic Societies Unite to Pressure Government

The federating of the Catholic societies of America is going forward rapidly and systematically. Five hundred delegates, representing a membership of 600,000 in the various societies, met at Cincinnati, Ohio, on December 10, to carry out the purposes of federation, and organize the societies into one solid body so far as the object which they have in view is concerned. That object is to force a recognition of Catholic demands by bringing political pressure to bear upon the government.
