THE SIGNS FOR 1902.

$4.50 and More for $1.50.
There are three prominent departments in the Signs of which we wish to speak, each one of which is worth more than the price of the paper to the interested reader. Note the following important Biblical subjects which will be treated in the

GENERAL ARTICLES DEPARTMENT,

considerably less than one-half of what that department will contain:—
1. Nature of Man and a Consideration of Spiritism. A Scientific and Biblical View, by Prof. J. A. L. Derby.
These articles are important in matter, and original and interesting in style. There will be about ten of these.
2. Restoration from Babylon, from the Captivity of Judah to the First Advent of the Messiah, by Alonzo T. Jones.
This period of history and Scripture is but little understood generally. Its rich lessons in vigorous righteousness, its faithful warnings in inspired prophecy, are but little appreciated, because not known. These articles will prove of great help to the earnest student. They will number about ten.
3. The Coming of the Lord, Its Certainty, Its Manner, Its Nearness, will be set forth in clear, forceful messages by L. A. Phippen and C. M. Snow, in from fifteen to twenty articles. These will include a consideration of the signs of the times.
4. “Consider Him,” a series of studies on our blessed Lord as Creator, as Angel of the Covenant, as the Word made flesh, as our Example—the Personified Law, as the Great Teacher, as the Eternal Sacrifice, as Great High Priest, as the Judge, as the Everlasting King. The very subject names are thrilling. These will be written by Prof. G. W. Rine.
5. A Study of the World-Wide Sabbath Question in the Light of Scripture and History.
Surely such a study is of vast importance, and will be of interest. Every honest soul will wish to know God’s truth in the matter.
6. Articles on the little-known book of Zechariah. By Pastor R. S. Owen, of Los Angeles.
We were about to speak of Mrs. White’s excellent, practical, soul-stirring articles, of articles on the Sunday-school lessons, of first-page articles and others; but we will not. Are not these named worth the price of the paper?

THE HOME DEPARTMENT.

Every family in the land needs a home paper. We hope by God’s blessing to make the SIGNS OF THE TIMES a Home-Helper in the year to come. Think of the value of articles by experienced, practical writers on such subjects as the following:—
Talks on Health and Hygiene, including Bathing, Proper Diet, Bad Dietetic Habits, Proper Dress, Pure Blood and Pure Air, Blessings of Sunshine, Pure Water, Hygiene of Hopefulness, Beauty, Simplicity and Economy in the Home; Talks to Fathers, Mothers, Parents, Boys, Girls, Care of Children, etc., etc. Is not such a feast (and more) worth $1.50 for a whole year?

EDITORIALLY.

The SIGNS OF THE TIMES will present the Gospel of Jesus Christ, in matters of Faith, Justification, Regeneration, Obedience, the Work of the Holy Spirit, the Prophecies of Daniel and the Revelation; it will contain articles upon the great living questions of the day affecting Church and State, great world-movements like Christian Science, Hypnotism, and Spiritism, and much more.
Besides these three important departments there are our Mission department, our Sabbath-school department, and our news columns. In view of all these,
Do you not wish the SIGNS for 1902? Do you not wish your neighbor to have it? It is only $1.50 a year. And it presents some splendid combination offers. If you are a subscriber, you can not afford to let your subscription expire. You will wish to find others. If not a subscriber now, become one.
If you wish to learn much, very much of fruit and fruit harvests in California, send for the Harvest and Export issue of the Pacific Fruit World of Nov. 23, 1901. Published in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Its price is probably 10 cents.
