A Children's Fresh-Air Party

THE Cincinnati Post recently made up a children's fresh-air party, and sent into the country, at its own expense for transportation, 1,390 children, ranging in years from 1 to 14. The entertainment in the country was furnished by the families into which the children were sent. The outing of two weeks was thoroughly enjoyed by the poor children of the city, and many of them came home much better clothed than when they went into the country, happier, and better off in every way. Such deeds are of quadruple benefit. They benefit the children, the families to which they go, the families to which the children belong, and those who send them. The missionary work done by those who entertain the children brings them into closer touch with the needs of humanity and closer to God.
