French Ambassador Leaves Constantinople

M. CONSTANS, the French ambassador to Turkey, has left Constantinople because of dissatisfaction over the delays of the Turkish Government in settling the question of the indemnity to be allowed the Quays Company, and also in the matter of other claims which the French Government is pressing upon the sultan. This does not indicate the breaking off of all diplomatic relations with the Porte, but is simply a demonstration of France’s displeasure over the matter.
