A Perilous Army

The militia at Camp Gage, Santa Cruz, Cal., are reported by the papers to have exhausted all the beer in that city and to have sent to Watsonville for more. To this the Pacific Ensign adds that a drunken army and militia imperil a nation more than any foreign enemy.
