The Fathers

“The Fathers.”—Luther said, in substance, that when he quoted the Word his adversaries shouted, “The Fathers!” This is repeated often in the consideration of the Sabbath question. To those who wish to know the reliability of the “Fathers,” and the testimony of history to the Sabbath and the Sunday since the days of the apostles, we commend the following:—
“The Fathers of the Catholic Church,” by E. J. Waggoner. This is a remarkable review of the early Fathers, and ought to be in every library. 400 pp., cloth; price $1.00.
“Sunday; Origin of Its Observance in the Christian Church.” A conclusive work. Bible Students’ Library, No. 80. Price 15 cents.
“Historical Facts and Incidents Relative to the Sabbath and the Sunday,” from creation to the present. Apples of Gold Library, No. 45. Price 2 cents.
These are all excellent, and the smaller are no parts of the larger. Address Pacific Press, Oakland, Cal.
