SABBATH-SCHOOL LESSONS.
By Editor
We once decided, because of limited space, to omit from the SIGNS OF THE TIMES for 1901 the Sabbath-school and Sunday-school lessons. We thought that decision final. But there is a saying, “A wise man sometimes changes his mind; a fool, never.” We have seen reason to change. Many of our friends desire the lessons. We have therefore decided to print them. To do this the lessons will necessarily have to be condensed as much as possible. As formerly, we shall print the essential lesson scriptures from the Revised Version. We shall print in small tho readable type. We shall print our Missions and Home departments in 8-point (or brevier) type instead of in 10-point (or primer) type as formerly. We do this so as to give our readers more matter instead of less. This will cost us more; it will cost them no more; and the reading will be sufficiently plain, we are sure. The editors will do all in their power to induce the advertising department, which they do not control, to cut down their advertisements. We feel sure that in this additional matter we shall have the help and co-operation of our friends in giving the SIGNS a still larger circulation.
