WORDS FROM INDIA.

A LETTER from Pastor W. A. Spicer, editor of the Oriental Watchman, Calcutta, dated Nov. 8, 1900, gives the following items of interest to those who have donated to our India fund:—
“Dear Brother Wilcox: I have received word from the foreign board (dated September 23) that another remittance of $700 from your SIGNS fund is being sent on to us. It will doubtless come to hand presently. I have already sent some amounts to those who have taken children. As near as I can learn, missions generally have been supplied quite liberally with funds for present needs. By waiting a little and watching, I will be able to place the closing contributions to the best advantage. Your readers have contributed liberally, and it is unnecessary for us who happen to be here to try to express thanks for money sent to the needy, but only thanks for being allowed to disburse it.
“Again thanking the SIGNS for the missionary interest in the foreign work, of which India has had abundant evidence. Your brother, W. A. Spicer.”
