A MIGHTY ARGUMENT WITH GOD.

ONE of the mightiest arguments we, as sinful mortals, have to offer for God’s help is our need. God pities us because we are needy. He gave His Son to die for us because we were needy. Jesus Christ lived His blameless life, and fought and conquered the whole battle with sin, because we are helpless, and can not do it ourselves, and are therefore needy. Our need commends us to His compassion and love. Our need is the counterpart of His fulness.
Then go, sinner; to the great compassionate, infinitely-loving God, and plead your need. “He delighteth in mercy;” He can not refuse you.
“All the fitness He requireth Is to feel your need of Him.”
