How Much Farther?

One of our book canvassers, a lady, giving her experience in an Iowa town, says:— “I canvassed at the house of a Protestant minister, who told me they were organizing libraries in all their churches. The pastors select the books they wish their members to read, and instruct them not to buy books of any book agent.”
How much farther will such pastors have to go before they land in Rome? Liberty of investigation and freedom in research should be accorded to everybody. And Protestant ministers, above every one else, should stand up for this inalienable right.
