McClure’s Magazine

McClure’s Magazine.—Those who desire to keep abreast of war statistics should read McClure’s Magazine for June. Specially interesting articles are: (1) “Cuba under Spanish Rule. Personal Impressions of the Island, the People; of the Government, and the War for Freedom,” by Major-General Fitzhugh Lee. Mr. Lee’s long residence in Cuba enables him to write with the authority of an eye-witness. This article is copiously illustrated with photo reproductions of leading Spanish and Cuban characters, and characteristic Cuban scenes. (2) “Military Europe. A Narrative of Personal Observations and Experiences,” by Major-General Nelson A. Miles, with many illustrations of scenes and persons. There are other war articles and poems. Price, 10 cents; of any news dealer.
