Remember Our Missions.

The coming year will be a hard year for California, especially in those districts, mining or agricultural, which depend upon rain. But, thank a kind Providence, we have had a good rain-fall recently. Some of those who ought to know tell us that where some crops have been utter failures on account of the early drought, now that the rain has fallen, other crops, such as corn or beans, can be raised. What we wish to ask is that some of our farmer friends plant crops of beans and peas, crops which mature quickly, for the missions in San Francisco and Oakland. We know that the tendency of humanity is to say after one failure, “There is no use; it is too late to recover the past;” but, brother, try it for the Lord’s sake and the sake of His children. How many will plant new crops of beans, peas, etc., for the Lord?
