Joy Over One Sinner

WHAT gracious lessons are these parables from the book of God! How they tell us of His love, His care, His sacrifice, His intense anxiety to save the lost! O soul, astray in the mountain or wilderness, lost in the estranged house of God among the rubbish and dust of human error and tradition, Jesus Christ remembers you. He not only calls you home; He searches for you. Will you not be saved? Will you not give yourself to God? Will you not let the Shepherd bear you back to the fold? Will you not be replaced in the diadem of His jewels? Will you not bring joy to God and the angels? As the shepherd has joy over his found sheep, as the woman and her friends rejoice over the restored coin, the Lord declares, “Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.” Sinner, you may be one of the one-sinners.
