Could I trace in golden letter All across the azure sky, “Sinner, break the earthly fetter, Thy redemption draweth nigh;”
Could I write it in the sunset, Or the golden morning light; Could I trace it in the wavelet, With its foamy crest so bright,
I should never faint, no, never, Nor give vent to weary sigh, But should write, for aye and ever, “Thy redemption draweth nigh.”
