An Individual Relation to the Lord
Our relation to the Lord is not a national relation, or a society relation, but an individual relation. This is a lesson which the Lord teaches us continually. It is for each one to believe. It is to each one life from the Lord. Each one is to be built upon Christ. To each one Jesus wishes to be a personal friend. We are “members one of another” only as we are members of Christ. The Bible is an individual Book through which the divine oneness of the Spirit runs; it presents before us a personal God and Father, a personal, individual Saviour, and an individual salvation that reaches every soul severally. Praise God that it is so, because that in these great facts every soul can find pardon, peace, and life. “Whosoever will” may come.
